Speak with the class teacher
We encourage parents of all our pupils to keep in close contact with the school – it’s nearly always possible to speak with the class teacher for a moment or two before or after school, and a longer discussion can be arranged by appointment. These meetings can be arranged if you have specific concerns or would like to know more about how to support your child.

Your questions, comments or concerns are often answered in our communications, newsletters are sent out each week with the latest news and information.
There are various ways for you to access our newsletter, you can access it through our website or ask the school office, although we do encourage parents to view them on our website.
Making a Formal Complaint
Staff are nearly always available – it’s easy to have a quick chat with teachers or the headteacher so most concerns or complaints are dealt with quickly. However, if parents feel that they need to make a formal complaint, it should be made in writing and the proper complaints procedures should be followed, which can be found here
Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about Uplands Junior Primary. It asks for your opinion on the quality of teaching to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. The information is used by Ofsted to make decisions about which schools to inspect, and when. By sharing your views, you’ll be helping us to improve.
